Three Skulls Furniture is a Hull-based handmade furniture business established in 2022. We make rustic wooden beds, statement four posters, bedroom furniture, wardrobes, dining furniture, storage and completely bespoke pieces for customers across mainland Britain.

A gigantic one of one bespoke larder

This commission was far beyond anything the customer could simply buy from a normal furniture shop. The larder was designed in two separate sections so something of its size could be manufactured, transported and installed safely while appearing as one enormous unit inside the customer’s kitchen.

Eleven handmade pieces for a Whitby holiday let

This project involved making and delivering eleven individual pieces of furniture for a holiday property in Whitby. The order shows the scale of work we can produce when a customer wants several rooms to share the same solid, rustic style.

A complete furniture order delivered from Hull to Devon

Some jobs become a journey in every sense. This full bedroom and living-room order travelled from our Hull workshop to its final home in Devon. We documented both the difficult road to completion and the finished delivery rather than pretending the process had been perfect.

Old railway sleepers transformed into furniture

We were commissioned to turn reclaimed railway sleepers into a genuinely individual piece. The project began with heavily weathered timber in the workshop and ended as a finished breakfast bar installed in the customer’s home.

Our wardrobes can be adapted with additional rails, shelving, internal drawers, tip boxes and top storage. This means the inside can be planned around what the customer actually needs rather than forcing the customer to work around a standard layout.
