FROM OLD RAILWAY SLEEPERS TO THIS 🤩

Remember the railway sleeper breakfast bar we showed you while it was still taking shape in the workshop?

Well, it has now been delivered. 🤩

This was one of those jobs that looked completely different in the workshop to how it looks now it is actually sitting in the space it was made for.

What started as old railway sleepers with years of marks, holes, splits and colour running through them is now a completely one of one breakfast bar fitted into the customer’s kitchen.

And we are seriously happy with how this one turned out.

We said from the start that we did not want to take all of the character out of the timber.

The old holes are still there.

The grain is still there.

The darker sections are still there.

The marks and imperfections are still there.

That is exactly what makes it.

You could ask us to build another breakfast bar in the same style and we absolutely could.

But we could never make this exact one again.

That is the beauty of using timber like this.

Then after delivery the customer left us this review:

“I absolutely love it. Great service from start to finish, couldn't do enough for me and it was ready a whole week early. You guys did a great job. Even the guys delivering were great. Amazing company amazing customer service. Thanks again. X”

That makes the whole job for us.

There is always a point with a one off piece where you question bits of it. We did with this one. We sanded it back, looked at it again, changed bits and kept going until we were happy to send it out.

Seeing it delivered and fitted where it belongs makes all of that worth it.

And this is exactly why we want more commissions like this.
