11 Pieces. Two Flights of Stairs. One Whitby Holiday Let.

Today was delivery day in Whitby for one of the bigger orders we’ve had through the workshop recently — 11 pieces of handmade furniture, all built by us for a brand-new holiday let.

If you’ve been following us, you might have already seen this order while it was still in its bare bones in the workshop.

Well… here it is now.

Built, finished, delivered and finally in its new home.

The property itself still has a way to go before everything is completely set up and ready for guests, but seeing the furniture actually in the rooms makes all those hours in the workshop worth it.

Handmade furniture for a Whitby holiday let

This wasn't an order for one statement piece.

The customer wanted furniture throughout the property, so we built 11 individual pieces including bedroom furniture, storage and living furniture — all made to work together and give the holiday let the same rustic feel throughout.

Among the pieces were a handmade wooden bed and bedside tables, wardrobe, tall storage, TV unit, coffee table and desk with stool.

No flat packs. No mass-produced furniture arriving in boxes.

Just proper wooden furniture, built in our workshop and delivered to where it belongs.

And because the property is still being finished, these aren't even the final photographs.

Once everything has been dressed, decorated and completely set up for guests, we'll be sharing the finished result.

From our workshop to Whitby

Orders like this are a big part of what Three Skulls Furniture is about.

We're not trying to make furniture that looks like it came off a production line. The knots, grain and natural character of the timber are part of every piece we make.

Whether it's one bed for a bedroom or an order like this to furnish a holiday let, it's still being made by the same people in the same workshop.

This one took some work.

But looking at it sitting in its new home today?

Worth it.
